Bastiaan Verdonk - Principal Technology Strategist Bastiaan Verdonk is a seasoned IT professional with over 30 years of industry experience, specializing in Identity Threat Detection & Response (ITDR), Active Directory, and cybersecurity resilience. For more than two decades, he has played a key role at Quest Software, helping global clients implement Quest’s solutions and strengthen their identity infrastructure. A recognized thought leader and speaker, Bastiaan has recently presented at the 2025 Gartner Identity & Access Management Summit and Quest’s The Experts Conference (TEC), sharing practical insights on identity security best practices in hybrid AD environments. He continues to contribute to the cybersecurity community through webinars, co-hosting Practical365.com podcasts, and industry forums, where he shares his expertise in identity threat detection and Active Directory defense
Aaron Smith - Principal Security Researcher Aaron is a Principal Security Researcher at Quest Software, with over 13 years in cybersecurity across national defence and enterprise environments. Previously working in national cyber offensive and defensive operations is where his adversary-aware perspective comes from. His research currently sits in identity and AI security, covering the ways threat actors are starting to weaponise AI and the ways defensive teams can use it without opening new exposures. He works at two levels simultaneously, following how an attack is built at the level of a single process or credential while keeping sight of the adversary's ultimate goals, so he can give a leadership team the attacker's actual reasoning rather than a list of risks. He speaks and writes regularly, including a weekly series musing on recent events and experiences.
Andreas Neuhauser - Principal Sales Engineer Andreas Neuhauser is a Principal Sales Engineer at Quest Software, focused on data intelligence and the practical side of making enterprise data trustworthy. Working with customers and partners across EMEA, he spends his days on the unglamorous problems that decide whether an AI initiative succeeds or quietly stalls: scattered sources, unclear ownership, and lineage nobody can trace. With over a decade of global experience in IT and data management, Andreas pairs deep hands-on technical skill with a pragmatic sense of what organisations will actually adopt.
