Hello, my name is Robert Pound, and I am a product technologist for Quest. In this video, we'll discuss Reports Manager in Toad for SQL Server.
So I have Toad for SQL Server open, and I currently don't have the Reports Manager open. So if I come to Tools, I can choose Reports. And in that, we'll have the Reports Manager.
We also have the ability to create a schema report or data report from here. But let me go ahead and open up the Reports Manager. So I can choose to auto hide this or pin it, depending on my preference.
And in this, you have a list of all the custom and default reports in Toad for SQL Server. So as you can see, there are several different DBA reports that come standard-- things like backup history, user permissions, et cetera.
And if we click on this, I could potentially run this report now. You have some administrative tasks like creating folders and root folders, deleting, et cetera.
You can also design a report from here or edit a report. So if I open up Edit Report, it will show me the title and description and then what the actual report is going to run.
And if we go ahead and run one of these reports, in the display, in this case, what user permissions there are. And if you're looking for a specific rule, obviously you, can search for those reports in this folder.
And that's all there is to it. So for more information on this topic or other topics, you can choose the help file and Toad Help.
You can also check out the community-driven innovation going on at www.ToadWorld.com. I encourage you to log in so you can get content specific to Toad.
